We recently updated the straps for our Alamo and Catalina top tube bags to TPU straps! The new straps are grippier and easier to tighten. Tight straps are key to a stable top tube bag, and these new straps require less finger strength than our old hook-and-loop ones to achieve stability.
Every new Alamo and Catalina comes with the new straps, but if you've ordered a bag in the past you can upgrade at a discounted price through March 31st, 2026 (discount of 60% off will apply when you enter your email at checkout - you must use the same email as you used for your original purchase).
Our TPU straps also come with our special molded strap keepers which will prevent your loose ends from rattling against your top tube!
The Alamo upgrade kit includes two 9" straps and one 15" strap - the 15" strap is for bikes where the top tube and down tube merge and require a longer strap at the front of the bag. The Catalina upgrade kit includes four 9" straps and one 15" strap. But you can also use the Alamo kit for a Catalina, if you're not using every strap.
