How do I send dimensions for a custom frame bag?
At Rogue Panda we make it easy to order a custom bag for your frame. We were the first in the industry to offer a frame bag fit based on a photo, and we have perfected it over the thousands of frame bags we’ve made. Your bag is guaranteed to fit like a glove.
For many common frames we have patterns already, so check our list to see if your bike is there. If we don’t have a pattern we’ll just need a photo, visit our custom frame bag page for instructions. Custom Frame Bags
Once you’ve taken a photo of your bike, just reply to your order confirmation email and attach the photo. We’ll review the photo and confirm it’s a great shot.
I have a trip coming up soon – will my bags make it on time?
There’s a good chance we can make that happen, but it’s best to contact us first. For custom orders and back-orders, lead time can vary depending on how busy we are. We are a small company, after all. For stock items, your order should ship within 2-3 business days. If your trip is coming up very soon, feel free to contact us and let us know because we can probably ship it out immediately.
Are the bags waterproof?
All of our bags are made out of waterproof material – however most of the bags are water resistant. Prolonged exposure to wet conditions can result in water getting drawn in through the seams and zippers. Because of this, our Rolltop Frame Bag is our most water proof frame bag.
Sealing seams with Gear Aid’s Seam Grip will result in a bag that’s waterproof for rain, but not for submersion.
Stitches on the side of the bag are pretty easy to seal. These just need to have sealant applied to all visible stitches. Please follow the instructions provided with the sealant.
Corner seams will not be as easy to seal. The binding tape we use along these seams does not seal very well; email us for more info on sealing the corners.
How wide are your bags?
As far as bag width goes, you have a bit of control over it by how much you tighten the straps.
The bag will naturally expand outwards and you can adjust between about 3.5″ and 5″ width for most bags, in the center.
On smaller frames,the bag doesn’t have as much ability to expand in the middle.
What is "Shock Cord Lacing"?
Instead of hook-and-loop straps, we can add webbing loops with a piece of paracord to thread through them. Lacing pulls the bag into the top tube securely and has a nice clean look. It has the disadvantage of taking longer to install and remove the bag.
On most partial frame bags we will still put two small hook-and-loop straps on the seat tube and two on the down tube.
What are "Bolt-On Attachments"?
If you select bolt on attachments, then we will use your water bottle bolts to attach the bag whenever possible. On most frame we still will need straps behind the zipper and on the top tube. It’s primarily a cosmetic feature, it gives the bag a nice clean look.
Can you make additional customizations or add features to a frame bag?
So whether we can do this depends on what exactly you’re looking for. In general we’re not the best company to go to for highly custom work – we have a whole team of production staff and produce frame bags in large runs, so we are limited in how “custom” we can get. Changing shape and color is easy – modifying the basic design or adding complicated features is harder.
Why don't you make bolt-on Rolltop Frame Bags?
We don’t do bolt-on mounting for the rolltop bags because of the nature of the rolltop closure. When tightening on the rolltop buckles the frame bag is pulled upwards, so if we do the bolt mounts the bag will want to bend upwards at the bolt. In contrast, having a velcro attachment coming right out of the seam supports the strap directly and prevents the bag from deflecting.

Patterns that aren’t in stock will add to the lead time on the order, sometimes up to 2 months. An extra fee might also apply to bring it in.
You make state flag bags and funky patterns – can I get my own custom design?
That depends on how complicated of a design you want. We have the capacity to have custom printed fabrics, but not a lot of time to spend on design work. Simple silhouettes or text are generally ok, but if we are very busy then we might not be able to do it. Please contact us first before ordering a bag if you’d like a custom design.
I have a Santa Cruz Tallboy - Is there anything I should consider?
I’m new to bikepacking – which bags do you recommend getting first?
In most cases, we recommend getting a frame bag first, or some top tube bags. The reason for this is these bags are useful for day rides as well as bikepacking. Doing day rides with a lighter pack (or no pack) is a very liberating feeling. On the other hand, seat bags and handlebar rolls are easily moved from bike to bike and riders with smaller frames may find them more useful than a frame bag.

Can you make me a custom fanny pack/camera bag/etc?
Unfortunately, while we are making custom frame bags and backpacks, we are not making any other custom bags at this time. In order to be competitive without taking our labor overseas, we have to be very lean and efficient, which means simplifying our product line and minimizing the number of one-off custom jobs that we do. Frame bags are different because we have a process set up to make them in batches, so they don’t take the same amount of time as other custom projects.

Can I get sponsored?
So . . . maybe. We are a small company without a lot of budget for sponsorship, but there are two situations where it might work. The first is anything education-related, where we might be able to offer a discount for group purchases for teams, classes, etc. Anything that helps get the next generation outdoors is pretty rad in my book.
The second is if you’re doing a really cool ride somewhere and take professional-quality photos. Now that we have a blog on the website I am looking to start doing trip reports and guest blogs – so if you like to write and you’re planning on carrying a nice camera then send us an email.
Where did the name “Rogue Panda” come from?
When I started Rogue Panda I wanted a name that was connected to Flagstaff, but nothing too direct – we already have enough business with names starting with “Aspen” or “Ponderosa” or “Grand Canyon”. That and I’ve got a whimsical sense of humor. So I thought back on my years in the area and remembered a moment from my days building trails with a conservation corps.
We were headed back from work one day and passed by one of those electronic road signs, only instead of its usual message, someone had hacked into it and changed it to say “Rogue Panda on Rampage”. Flagstaff is a pretty chill town so some of the locals got involved too – for instance, the principal of the elementary school down the street changed his marquee to say “Now educating rogue pandas”. We all got a good laugh out of it, and it turned into a running joke inside the corps. I don’t know who did the hacking (and I have an air-tight alibi) but I’m thankful for the inspiration!
Terms & Policies
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms and Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
What is your shipping policy?
All orders are shipped with USPS First Class or Priority Mail shipping. For orders below $100, you have the choice of shipping method – prices for both will appear on the cart page. All orders $100 or above will ship free with USPS Priority Mail within the United States.
International orders to most countries will ship for an additional $20 per item. If you order many small items it’s best to contact us first, as we may be able to give you a cheaper shipping rate
All in-stock orders will be shipped as soon as possible, usually within 1 to 3 business days. Back-ordered non-custom items will usually take between 7 and 10 business days to complete. If unusual circumstances (i.e. a sudden rush of orders or one of us going on vacation) increases that lead time, a notice will appear on the product page. If you need your gear by a certain date (for a race or ride, etc), feel free to contact us to let us know. Orders containing both in-stock and custom items will ship when all items are complete.
You will receive an email with a scheduled ship date for custom items like frame bags and backpacks. The ship date will usually fall towards the end of the stated lead time on the website.
What is your returns policy?
Non-custom items can be returned within 30 days. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Please contact us before returning an item.
Custom items or items that have been used or kept for more than 30 days can also be returned if we deem that a mistake was made in the manufacturing of the item (e.g. a framebag that does not fit your bike). If you think a mistake was made please contact email@example.com.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds:
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shipping your return to us:
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 1827 N Center St Ste 102, Flagstaff, AZ, 86004, United States.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. In the case of a manufacturing mistake, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
